Sustainability is central to how businesses operate, compete, and grow. But knowing where to start, or how to build real understanding across your team, can be a challenge. Carbon Literacy offers a practical way to build knowledge, credibility, and a clear path to action.

What is Carbon Literacy for Business?
Carbon Literacy is about understanding how our decisions affect the climate and learning how to make practical changes. It’s a recognised certification developed by the Carbon Literacy Project, and it helps turn awareness into action.
The training takes around eight hours to complete and leads to a TAP 100 certification, which is recognised across sectors as a meaningful step toward climate competence.
A Course Built for Business
Green Lark has developed a version of Carbon Literacy training tailored specifically for business. It’s practical, relevant, and suitable for anyone in your organisation, whether they work in operations, HR, sales, or leadership.
The course helps teams:
Understand the risks and opportunities linked to climate change.
Identify realistic ways to cut emissions and reduce costs.
Build a stronger sustainability culture across the company.
Show clients, investors, and regulators that your business is serious about climate action.
Why It’s Worth Doing
Businesses that invest in Carbon Literacy are better placed to meet customer expectations, win contracts with sustainability criteria, and stay ahead of regulation. It’s also a great way to engage staff and attract people who care about purpose and impact. More on the training can be found on the Carbon Literacy Project website.
