Modern Slavery Statement

At Green Lark Environmental Solutions Ltd., we believe that transparency and responsibility are essential to building a sustainable future. While we are not legally required to publish a Modern Slavery Statement under the Modern Slavery Act 2015, we have chosen to do so voluntarily. This reflects our commitment to ethical business practices, human rights, and the prevention of modern slavery and human trafficking in all aspects of our work and supply chain. This will be updated on an annual basis.

1. Organisation Structure, Business, and Supply Chains

Green Lark Environmental Solutions Ltd. is a UK-based consultancy specialising in environmental strategy, sustainability engagement, and climate-focused programmes. We work with SMEs, public sector bodies, and international partners to improve environmental performance and compliance.

Our supply chain includes professional services, software platforms, and subcontracted consultants. We do not source physical goods or operate in high-risk sectors for modern slavery.

2. Policies in Relation to Slavery and Human Trafficking

We are committed to ethical business practices and human rights. While not legally required, we voluntarily adopt principles aligned with the Modern Slavery Act 2015. Our internal policies prohibit forced labour, child labour, and human trafficking in any part of our operations or supply chain.

3. Due Diligence Processes

We conduct informal due diligence on suppliers and partners, including:

  • Reviewing ethical and sustainability credentials.

  • Ensuring compliance with UK labour laws.

  • Prioritising suppliers with transparency and social responsibility policies.

As our business grows, we aim to formalise these checks into a supplier code of conduct.

4. Risk Assessment and Management

Given our sector and supply chain, the risk of modern slavery is low. However, we remain vigilant and assess risk in:

  • Subcontracted consultancy work.

  • International partnerships.

  • Software and digital service providers.

We avoid working with suppliers in high-risk jurisdictions unless robust safeguards are in place.

5. Effectiveness and Performance Indicators

We measure our effectiveness through:

  • Supplier screening and ethical declarations.

  • Staff awareness and training.

  • Zero incidents or concerns raised to date.

We will review these indicators annually and update our approach as needed.

6. Training and Capacity Building

All staff and associates are briefed on our ethical standards, including modern slavery awareness. As part of our sustainability engagement work, we promote human rights and ethical sourcing to clients and partners.

7. Leadership Commitment

This statement is endorsed by the leadership of Green Lark Environmental Solutions Ltd. We are committed to maintaining high ethical standards and ensuring that modern slavery and human trafficking have no place in our business or supply chains.

Daniel Cope, Founder of Green Lark Environmental Solutions Ltd.

8. Review Frequency

This statement will be reviewed annually and updated as necessary to reflect changes in our business operations, supply chain, or regulatory environment.
